PEERS Social Skills Program Vancouver
Continuous PEERS program intakes.
PEERS is a social skills program for all ages and individual needs with developing and maintaining lasting relationships. We help toddlers learn to engage in play, youth to make friendships and teens to young adults make external relationships crucial to education, work and personal life.
PEERS, developed by a group of psychologists out of UCLA is a recognized social building program geared to developing social mastery. Throughout the program our teem to young adult clients will learn to start conversations, maintain friendships and other external relationships, arrange gatherings, prepare for the work environment and learn to deal with bullying and the complex world of online interaction.
School aged children are prepared to deal with bullying, the school dynamic, making new friends and initiating gatherings. Small children are encouraged to share, play with a group and learn social skills to prepare them for preschool or Early Elementary school. PEERS is a group setting where our clients are able to practice and engage as a group to maximize the learning of new skills. Whether the client is signed up for a virtual PEERS program or you opt in for an in person, group activity will take priority to ensure the target goals are practiced.
